Dr. Ben Nkechika, a renowned Human Capital Development expert and Health Management Consultant, has congratulated Hon. (Engr.) Bello Lawal, the ALGON National President, on receiving the Award of Excellence from Kaita Local Government Council in Katsina State. 

According to him, this prestigious award is a testament to Engr. Lawal's outstanding leadership and commitment to excellence, particularly in his role as the 12th ALGON National President. 

Dr. Nkechika praised Engr. Lawal's landmark achievements, including his innovative approaches to governance and his efforts to consolidate existing gains. He also commended Engr. Lawal's leadership during the 51st National Executive Council meeting, which demonstrated his commitment to continuity and progress.

The Award of Excellence is not only a recognition of Engr. Lawal's individual achievements but also a testament to the positive impact of his leadership on the local government sector. As Dr. Nkechika noted, Engr. Lawal's leadership has shown promising signs of innovation and continuity, which is essential for effective governance and development.

Dr. Nkechika also urged other Chairmen across the 774 Local Government Areas (LGAs) and Area Councils to seize the opportunity to deliver quality services to their constituents, especially in rural areas where expectations are high. 

He emphasized the importance of maximizing their potential as leaders to positively impact the economic wellbeing of their communities.

Determined to demonstrate its political will and capacity to close health gaps and delivery quality services to the rural populace across the Country, the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria has continued to engage Management Science for Health (MSH) to perfect its Strategies.

The National President Hon. (Engr.) Bello Lawal has expressed the readiness of the Association to maximize the opportunity of vast vulnerable population in the grassroots to instill in the communities the consciousness to see the present opportunity as a work in progress.

He said that ALGON's relationship with UNICEF has remained strong and progressive which needs to be up scaled and complimented with corresponding momentum.
